Ok gonna share some more thoughts here cause I have a lot. But I feel victor was botched here! Like he’s a bad guy in the book but he has so much love and care in him, he loved his family and his friends. In this movie victor is completely heartless. He has zero empathy for the creature until last minute and that felt so unearned. I loved in the book when victor was contemplating making him a bride because he felt responsible for the suffering of his creation. But instead they gave him daddy issues and made him abusive, he was like not even scared of the creature! Which brings me to the next thing, the changes in victor lowkey changed the creature. The creature was shown kindness by Elizabeth and the old man even tho they knew what he was. In the books no one showed him kindness causing him to be filled with hate, and cause him to torment victor by killing those he loved, that horror element was so cool. And seeing victors failure to raise this guy making him evil was so cool. They are both evil! But in this the monster is such a victim and only killed randos. Idk didn’t feel right Also it looked weird at times, idk looked nice but sometimes ugly asf???

lowkey made Minecraft cakes with my gorf which makes me like this one slightly more than it deserves

while a worse movie than Minecraft, this one just made me mad. Don’t let them trick you
