Stay to the end for reward

I could have sworn he got it all the first time

Everything was unexpected. Total mind melt.

*This review may contain spoilers.* The film’s cinematography was exceptional, especially sticking out during the extremely lengthy one shot after Schorschi was shot. This scene blew me away, especially enhanced by Susanne Lothar’s incredible performance as Anna. Her level of emotional turmoil, particularly in the last third of the film was draining just to watch, and it will stay with me for a very long time. The best part of this movie is that it’s just really scary, and, unfortunately, grounded in reality. Although I feel like it should be watched solo because any amount of external sound might ruin some of the most intense scenes’ buildups. The 5 main actors’ performances were all-timers, and, in combination with the direction, perfectly-fitting soundtrack, and fourth-wall breaks, I can only describe *Funny Games* as a masterpiece.
