Body Heat

ok this was very very good. ngl i watched this looking for something completely different xD and i got kinda bored at the start bc i thought everything was going too slow. i wanted something tense and sexy and MELODRAMATIC! turns out this movie valued more a proper buildup to things and a sensible setup and well-thought-of foreshadowing. nothing to complain about that, i suppose. i do feel it's a bit too predictable though, but i'm not familiar enough with the history of the genre to know if that's just me making a presentist remark. i don't think the predictability is necessarily a bad thing-- in fact i'd even say it's proof of how robust(??) the worldbuilding and characterizations were-- but it... takes from this any chance of me categorizing this under my four-point-fives xD not that that matters to anyone apart from me. but i think that's the best way to put it
