Leonor Will Never Die
i enjoy coming up with stories and building worlds for my characters. but despite all the love i've created these with, i have rarely shown my works to other people. i always feel held back by the fact that they're messy and imperfect and too self-indulgent to the point that they probably won't make sense to others.
and i think that's the main reason why this film is such a treat for me! the way it includes references only a specific audience will get, elements that defy the rules of realism, and elements that defy the rules of storywriting itself. BUT DESPITE THE RULES IT BREAKS, i still think it can be relatable for everyone, it still conveys reality, and it still conveys a solid story, because isn't breaking rules something that many of us have also done in our lives? isn't a wandering mind and thoughts that go all over the place qualities that many of us also possess?
i love this. around the 1hr mark— i too would dance amidst the (good) chaos this film presents :)
