C'mon C'mon
C’mon C’mon is so so so so gentle and has so much heart. It doesn’t preach but instead shows you. Woody Norman is so charming in this movie and stole every scene he was in and to imagine that he did this in different accent. He 100% deserved an Oscar nomination. Joaquin plays a character called Johnny, who is forces to look after his nephew Jesse which he is at first, reluctant to do. Johnny has a strained relationship with his sister, who feels that she was never really understood by anyone in the family. Jesse causes their relationship to heal because i feel like Johnny could see so much of his sister in him and got to learn new things about her through him. The way the different people can bring out different sides of your personality was shown beautifully in this movie. And Woody Norman, who i can’t praise enough outacted everyone, every time! As an only child myself, Woody and the screenplay really captured the essence of being an only child; feeling out of place and misunderstood all the time. Exclusively dealing with adults at home creates, for better an independent, mature and imaginative child. For worse? A needy curious, smartass. The way that Jesse’s character shuts down when he doesn’t know how to express how his feeling was my favourite part of characterisation. Again, Woody’s snub all season hurts so much!
