The Fly

🎃Spooktober🎃 Film #25: A scientist completes his work on a teleportations device. But when he decides to use it on himself something goes horribly wrong. What steps out isn’t human, it isn’t an animal, but what could it possibly be? The Fly is arguably David Cronenberg’s most popular film, and rightfully so. I have had a lot of fun with his work, and The Fly fits right in. The tale that has been told multiple times throughout multiple medias. This film is a huge step forward for the Sci-Fi Horror genre! From what I’ve seen, Cronenberg mixes the two very well. Grotesque scenes of body horror mixed into an interesting sci-fi story, makes one of the most iconic horror films ever made. Jeff Goldblum is uh… well he’s Jeff Goldblum, but it just works so well with his character. I also really like Geena Davis’ performance in this film. Everything just works for me in this! Not only will I be watching this all the time, but I recommend it strongly to all film lovers! You haven’t truly lived until you have given this a watch. P.S. If I ever give birth to a human larvae please put me out of my misery
