Leans more into just being a fun Star Wars film for fans of the shows and animated series which it does massively succeed in. It struggles in terms of being an actual good film that can stand on its own. The Mandalorian struggles as a intresing lead character in a feature film and Grogu is just their to sell toys. I would have like for it to be abit more stylised, fully leaning into the noir genre or adleast the old style of films its obviously inspired by (i.e. Vietnamese war films or the old westerns season 1 of The Mandalorian pulls from). Very enjoyable and solid fan service to true star wars fans, just wished it took bigger risks in hopes of seeing more mainstream success.
