Inside Out 2
With its second part, the inside out saga reaffirms its title of being one of the best Disney-Pixar movies to ever be made. One that’s honest to its core that it crushes you from the little details to the biggest break-out scenes where you can feel your tears rolling but it also feels like a warm hug at the end, one that comforts you & makes you feel less alone. With too much to unpack & reveal, there’s one thing the movie makes clear, it’s okay to make mistakes, it’s okay to express all our emotions — the good & the bad — because that’s what makes us human at the end of the day. Nobody, absolutely nobody is perfect and that’s the beauty of being human. The second film takes up the idea of puberty & the new emotions we feel through that phase, those of which include anxiety; one of our main characters in this film. anxiety maybe seen as the villain in this film but it really isn’t, anxiety is normal and it’s okay to feel it. All anxiety did was try to protect Riley in her own ways & that’s the truth about anxiety; the protection of future consequences rooting from fear.
I loved the portrayal of panic attack & how true and real it was. also loved how the ending of the film didn’t show whether Riley got in or not because that’s not the purpose of the movie; it’s about growing up & going through thick and thin. one of the best movies of the year — highly recommended for both kids & adults!
