Ok so I was conflicted but then I realized this movie was MADE TO MAKE U FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE. THATS THE REASON. IT IS MADE TO MAKE YOU FEEL UNSETTLING. I want to start by saying this movie was done so bad by the academy in terms of nominations, can’t believe they only nominated it for writing.  One of the best aspects of this movie is the way it’s shot, the camera shots, the direction done by the amazing Todd Haynes!! HE IS ONE OF THE BEST DIRECTORS EVER! He lets you indulge inside this film and let you feel the uncomfortableness. the radiant colors of this film and the way it’s shot like every single shot is amazing!!  The performances OH MY GOSH!! I will never ever ever forgive the academy for snubbing this iconic trio of performances not even a single acting nomination and for what??? For what???? goodbye I thought maybe Natalie with more than 20 years into her career she wouldn’t be as good as she was but oh lord what do I know!! SHE IS UNDOUBTEDLY THE BESTTTT PERFORMANCE OF THE FILM!! SHE ATE THIS FILM UP!! She’s not even one of my fav actresses but good lord!! She knew what she was doing. I came in a point in the film I was like is Natalie even acting or is this her?? THIS IS REAL METHOD ACTING RIGHT THERE. I will never forgive the academy for snubbing her and for whom??? ANNETE BENNING?? YALL SHE DID EVEN BETTER THAN CAREY MULLIGAN IDC. I’m so mad right now. I’m sorry Natalie ur nomination was so deserved I’m glad you have an Oscar.  Coming to Julianne Moore. OH GOSH! Another snub!! THIS WOMAN!! I CANT EVEN BEGIN TO SPEAK!! EVERY OTHER SCENE!! she is AMAZING in this role literally literally!! JULIANNE MOORE PROVING AGAIN THAT SHE LITERALLY IS A LEGEND. I once again am really sorry for her that she didn’t get the nomination. IM SO SAD AND MAD THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE. Again at least she has an Oscar. Coming to melton, now not gonna lie in terms of performances I could put melton third. Don’t get me wrong loved his performance sure! It was great, it carried a lot of weight on the film, it truly is great. However not so sure if he deserves a nomination cuz y’all praised him so much. Idk maybe it’s just me but sometimes throughout the film I felt a bit off by his performance but just sometimes. Without doubt tho he did sooooo good in this film! And this definitely is a kick off for his career!! and maybe that’s just the way his character is written which is what makes it even better so kudos melton!!  Finally this movie would've not worked the way it did without the writing which is the sole Oscar nomination for this film. Obviously I won’t state again how mad I am this film didn’t get three acting nods, picture and director even cinematography (I don’t want to mention score cause in an article it says it’s not eligible.) I’m so disappointed in how the film was done bad by the academy but I’m happy samy burch got her deserved writing nod!! Truly the writing carries this film on its back!!  Once again a praise for Natalie Portman’s performance, ELIZABETH IS A CHARACTER TO REMEMBER!!!!!!!!!
