humans. for the most part, you are dull and blundering. but occasionally, you can be remarkably bright creatures i truly didn't expect the twist where tova turns out to be cameron’s grandma to hit that hard, but it literally makes every single one of their interactions so much more meaningful. it’s actually kind of crazy and beautiful that an octopus was the one who saw the connection they were both missing, acting like this silent bridge to help them find their way back to each other. this movie just feels like a massive warm hug, especially seeing how these two lonely people finally get the closure and family they’ve been longing for without even realizing it….. it’s just such a sweet, cozy reminder that even when you feel completely lost, life has this weird way of putting the pieces together right when you need it most. <3
