NANA
This hurted so much in the final episodes, I was not used to something like this at all.
Why? Because it was so damn realistic. Things were getting worse than we expected, the characters had to deal with a lot of problems and the only thing you're left to do is try to understand their choices, even if they're difficult to accept. I just felt bad imagining that that could actually be real life and that there will be a moment in my future where I'll have to take very difficult choices and get hurt, just like these characters. I've never felt like this watching an anime, I was in PAIN and I just wanted everything to be alright again but unfortunately that's not how life works.
I always felt intrigued in the story, I empathized with the characters and man those dialogues at the end just hit. I viewed myself in hachi a lot (objectively all the characters are great and realistic) and I personally liked her, I also felt a lot of adoration for nana (who didn't), like I wish I were like her but I know I'll never be because we have such different backgrounds and personalities.
Last, I stand by this statement:
EVERYTHING WOULD HAVE BEEN SOLVED IF NANA AND HACHI GOT TOGETHER OMG I SHIPPED THEM SO HARD WHY.
...
Ok.
Also the fashion and the music chef kiss
I'm literally obsessed and I want to talk about it more but then it would be too long.
