Moonlight
"You’re the only man who’s ever touched me... you're the only one."
When Chiron says this line, I felt the sadness and loneliness he experienced, and it deeply moved me. I don't understand how anyone can make it through the ending of this film without literally having their heart ripped into a thousand tiny pieces."Moonlight" is first introduce as a social testimony, it denounce the difficult acceptance of homosexuality in Afro-American ghettos. The movie is divided into three acts:- Little- Chiron- BlackThis segmentation represents different stages in Chiron's life and illustrates his evolution through his challenging childhood. "Moonlight" primarily explores a quest for identity and sexuality. I didn’t necessarily look for complexity in this film; I simply enjoyed my viewing experience. This film exemplifies what cinema can offer in terms of human beauty.I found that Alex R. Hibbert (Little) was exceptional, even masterful. An honorable mention goes to Mahershala Ali. I also found the poster extremely beautiful, simple, and significant to the film's identity, one of the most beautiful in my eyes.
