Godless

this “realist western” type of show is so not my thing. the sexual violence, racism and excessive killing just doesn’t feel right in a story that uses its non-white and non-male characters for substance and yet still make them feel one-dimensional.  the one thing that skewed it in the positive for me was that it successfully made me fond of the “good” characters by the finale, and so the ending was a decent payoff.  all in all, what got me thru 7.5 hours of this was the cowgirl lesbians, jack o’connell as “hot cowboy with sad upbringing”, and beautiful landscape shots! yeehaw 🤠
