A sexually repressive society not only enables more violent crimes but each character, ranging from the father in law too mumtaz, haider and biba are tales of how it lingers and it lingers untill it suffocates. Also it feels delightful seeing visuals you see around you in real life. That one shot of that lizard creeping up the window felt so familiar 😭. I hope more great films come out of Pakistan but the way the local audience responded to this was unfortunate yet unsurprising.
