The Sixth Sense
even knowing the twist, this film still manages to crawl under my skin. the genius of this movie is how it hides the truth in plain sight. but what hits me the hardest isnt the twist only but malcom himself, he couldnt save his last patient, and that guilt followed him even in death, making him feel painfully human to the point where he didnt even realize he was actually dead. but then comes cole, a child terrified by the unseen, and malcom finally manages to guide someone through the fear, making them both feel at peace. ultimately, this movie lingers because its more than just a ghost story rather than how one act of connection can change everything.
