Kill Bill: Vol. 1
‘Your name is Buck, right… and you came here to fuck… right?’ smashes head with door
Kill Bill volume 1 is somehow a movie that has everything. From comedy to action to thriller, it is everything. I can’t show you how much I enjoyed this film, but at least I can type it.
Black Mamba (The Bride), the woman you are. This character amuses me on such an extraordinary level, and not only because of her incredible combat abilities, but through her mannerisms, attitude and ruthlessness to get revenge on those who tormented her and her loved ones. Uma Thurman’s character is truly a work of art.
‘You could keep your wicked life for two reasons…and the second reason is… so you can tell him in person everything that happened here tonight. I want him to witness the extent of my mercy by witnessing your deformed body. I want you to tell him all the information you just told me, I want him to know what I know, I want him to know I want you to know, and I want them all to know, they’ll all soon be as dead as O-Ren.’
Finally, I want to discuss one of the best aspects of this movie, the action. Holy shit there was so much badass fighting in this movie, especially from Chapter 5: Showdown at House of Blue Leaves. I watched in awe as The Bride took down everyone and everything that stood in her path, which was so fucking exhilarating. I don’t think there’s enough words to describe that scene so I’ll leave it at that.
Overall, I am speechless. Quentin Tarantino really did create a masterpiece with Kill Bill vol 1, and I’m beyond excited because another two movies await me in this trilogy. I know for a fact they’re also extremely good, so I can’t wait. What a beautiful to set up vol 2.
