Irreversible
This movie maybe the most depressing movie you ever saw and you wouldn't even know it.
The film is crafted in such a way that the ending is the most disturbing part because you already know what's gonna happen ahead ( in time).
The cinematography is godly, it ranges from flippy camera work to long takes and Extremely long takes.
Deep down this film is a romance, on the surface it's a violent crime drama, but what I think is that this film is all about the phrase used in this film "Time destroys everything". The more I think about this film, the more this quote seems apt.
The conversations taking place during the 2nd half of the film can be interpreted as light hearted trailers for the violent 1st half, which just proves Noe's efficiency, as he can create some beautiful scenes and PERHAPS the most disgusting scenes within just 93 minutes.
