Definitely not as good as the first, its still funny but not as funny, the first movie is so charming and its such a niche and random plot this one ups the stakes a bit too much. Also kind of repetitive, i get that theyre running gags but theyre not nearly as funny the second time. I like everything about Go to white castle much more but this ones not bad.

Hilarious movie, love the characters and the turn of events, so much happens in such little time, super entertaining youre never left bored, its also such a random premise but it works so well.

This movie is probably one of the most atmospheric movies I have seen. Its unlike every other war movie, the colors aren't unsaturated and grey unlike other war movies, it doesnt focus on action but instead descent, it utilises lighting very well which make the movie very shadow heavy and feeling dark especially at the end which I think is one of the most well shot segments ever, the movie as a whole is actually, stunning cinematography. The characters are multi dimensional and have compelling arcs most notably Willard you get to see the excact moment hes gone insane, Kurtz is one of the most disturbing yet grounded characters ever put to screen. As a whole i do think the movie is a bit overrated but a masterpiece nonetheless.

What a masterpiece this is. Its a work of art, the way it utilises Mushimas own novels to tell the story, I have never seen a biopic like it, this is one of a kind and I dont think it can ever be done again. Also the way Mushima incorporated his own insecurities in his novels, I didnt really know who he was before watching this movie but wow, really unique person. It has some of the best camera work i have seen and the set design is incredible, the music is so grande and climatic, it enhances the movie. I love the way the movie is structured, through 4 chapters in each chapters we get the backstory of a different part of his life and a novel of his to represent that, except the last chapter which is only depicting his final day.
