I didn’t do any research on this film which I do on most and I am so glad I didn’t, I think the experience would be ruined if you know the plot the first time watching it. For this to be based on true event just shows how sick the world really is and even more so the thought that a lot of the scenes played on the screens was real archived footage of the horrible situation at the Munich Olympic in the summer of 1972 makes this movie one of the more authentic movies I have watched. I love the long camera shots in the hallways and the rapid moving of the camera to show how intense this scene really is. John magaro played Geoffrey mason very well. with masons rapid mental decline and pressure to be the first and only people broadcasting this hostage scene all over the world and his anxiety to make sure that no deaths or shooting is shown on the air, just for all of his work to be for nothing. John did a great job at hiding his metal health in plain sight which was a huge factor for this film. A lot of this movie was in other languages such as Hebrew and German and I think did a fantastic job at giving us the English translation through the one character, Marianne gebhardt played by (the lovey) Leonie Benesch. Honestly I highly recommend this movie for anyone who is interested in third-person action thrillers or history in general.
