The Monkey

Really fun movie, Especially for a horror movie. The constant tension and Jokes was wild, just the terror of waiting for the drumstick to slam down onto the drum and the impending gore ahead is what made this film higher on the list of horror comedy I have seen. Not only that but also Oz Perkins (writer and director) had written the comedic lines to break down the build up of tension in a scene so well and made the balance of fear and dark humour more clear and funny. It has everything a great horror comedy should have. A great storyline (obviously considering it is a Stephen king short book) that doesn’t rely on crappy jump scares and loud noises and genuinely funny scenes. Overall good film.
