Collateral

A brilliant character study disguised as a thriller. The chemistry between Cruise and Foxx is so good here too, it makes you forget that one is holding the other at gunpoint. I love particularly the enigma that is Vincent. Hints are dropped about his past and how he became the man he did, but the film still leaves you pondering plenty which I love. At its core I think it all boils down to a really impressive balancing act between tense action set pieces and a philosophical discourse on life, purpose and responsibility. Bet you forgot Jason Statham was in it too lol.
