Good film, just very quirk chungus. A step better than “uhm… I just did SCIENCE!!1!!” Would’ve liked for the moment of first intelligent alien contact to be more significant than it was. And suddenly advancing from no possible understanding of language to seamless translation of full sentences was jarring. Laboratory scenes had obvious tiktok attention-span cuts, and at moments the score was absolutely unbearable. Huge scale epic moment and the music is some happy bouncy BrainPOP nonsense.
