Parasite

(retrospective review, march 2025) I watched this knowing absolutely nothing about it except that it won best picture. i watched it as soon as it joined hulu in the dead of lockdown. i was just starting becoming an amateur cinephile and my life has never been the same since. it was this watching experience that most of the time i watchc movies, i don’t like knowing what they’re about because that just might be a masterpiece unbeknownst to me. i don’t know that i’ll ever have a movie viewing experience as great as this one but i’m glad i experienced it because it was absolutely without a doubt life-altering. if you haven’t seen parasite, please stop wasting your time.
