5TH TERROR TUESDAY this is the best mystery/crime movie ive seen in my life, THIS is everything i want out of a mystery, i mean i havent seen that many films so maybe thats why im gushing so much over this shit or maybe its just a fucking masterpiece, there is not one wasted scene, i actually did not notice 2 hours go by, its like lynch without too much surrealism, its like the silence of the lambs but scarier, better gore, and better sound design, its like perfect blue but with more of a straightforward narrative and a little less disturbing, still pretty disturbing though, and pretty scary, but not in a jumpscare way which is the best way to get scared, not by cheesy jumpscares, its just so ominous, its crazy how such a simple premise can never get stale/repetitive and is made this good how is this movie this good man, maybe im just in a good mood because ive been watching so many amazing movies but like bro this shit is undeniably one of the best, if not the best, i will say the silence of the lambs is nicer to look at, and has slightly better acting, both movies are amazing, i just personally prefer this more, i cannot find a single flaw with this film, its amazing from start to finish, the ending is perfect too, i mean this literally has all the elements i want in a movie like this, it makes me want to watch se7en, this being inspired by it and all this is what i think watching death note would be like, all the hype surrounding that anime, this is what i expect from it, i cant even talk about this film without getting into spoilers but its just so fucking good, i dont even know how to describe the feeling i felt after watching this, it was like how i felt about mulholland drive, like i was in a dream, this is more grounded though, but the amazing camerawork and editing makes it seem so dream-like, its like you're actually being hypnotized and falling into the movie, man its so ahead of its time fuck man this shit is PEAK cinema, instantly added into my top 4, i dont think any movie is going to top this as my favorite crime/thriller movie any time soon, wow man this movie is awesome, i just cant stop thinking about it, i see why ari aster and bong joon ho love and got inspired by this movie, i feel like ive been cured after finishing it, i think i need a rewatch to give it a full 10/10, but this is undoubtedly an underrated masterpiece
