One Day
in the beginning the whole “oh no i’m rich but i can’t face my emotional problems” guy plot was bearable, but towards the end it only became repetitive and annoying. I continued watching only to see Emma’s character developing, which was going good until the middle part of it, and then it all became about Dex honestly. We never see Emma’s parents, we never know how Emma continued with her books, how great of a teacher she was effectively. I felt as, in order to give space to Dex’s issues, Emma was put in second place. As if we don’t have enough stories where the man is a dickhead and all is excused.
NOT TALKING ABOUT THE END! For real, did Emma died just because we had to saw Dex’s character development after what? More than 10 years? I felt like it was kind of useless.
ALSO what I hate most is when women are portrayed as the emotional rock, they are the ones that need to fix men, even when men are in the wrong and should be autonomous adults who can see for themselves how horrible they act.
P.S.: the two stars are for Emma and Tilly, wish we could’ve seen more of them
