Hold the Dark

I still really fuck with this movie. I don’t think it’s perfect, but it has such a unique tone and unconventional way of showing instead of telling what’s going on. I definitely see how that can be frustrating for people since this movies story is not explained very much at all, but I like how much it makes me think. The cinematography is super beautiful and really shows off how isolated and cold Alaska is, the acting is really solid too with a lot of enjoyable characters. The writing could be a bit better, but it’s still good overall. Still one of my favorite movies to rewatch with friends to see their reactions and hear their theories and thoughts on the crazy story. 8.8/10 2010's
