Good Time
Uhhh yeah 👍🏻
———Spoilers/Review———
The brief introduction scene sounds boring on paper, but man, did it draw me in. Very compassionate stuff. Nick shedding tears, then Mr. Pattinson comes in and the stress begins.
Robert Pattinson's character, Connie, the older brother, immediately gave me the impression that he was going to be an asshole. He gave off these slight dumbass, selfish, narcissistic vibes. He strings his poor brother along in his schemes, and then it all predictably goes wrong.
Very disappointed that Connie turned out to be not only a scumbag, but like a pedo too, fuck lol.
On the other hand, Nick is just sad. He clearly has some mental issues going on, and of course he ends up getting the worst of it in the beginning.
They rob a bank, and at first everything seems to be going well. They get into the car, everything's fine, and then boom, the money turns out to be booby-trapped with a dye pack. That sequence kicks off the film.
I'm not going to retell the entire plot, but you can probably imagine how the rest of the movie goes after something like that.
Robert Pattinson was unrecognizable in this film. Very dope performance. Benny Safdie was great as well, and i would've liked to see more of him. Really strong performances all around.
The ending was fun in an entertaining way. Not literally fun, but y'know what i mean. That one dude falls of the building, Connie gets arrested and we get to see Nick again, doing well. Very touching.
This was a rewatch for me. I saw the film a couple of years back, but i didn't remember much from it. The movie was way more messed up than i remembered.
The film was aight. A bit pointless perhaps, but very captivating at times.
In conclusion: GOOD.
