WHAT!? I’m gonna cry. I love old people so much. This was just beautiful. Tragic but beautiful. At points I definitely was like woah and the I was like WOAH when I thought about it more. Ikiru isn’t anything crazy, it is a story of a man diagnosed with cancer but fuck this movie tore me to shreds I mean this is like the saddest most gut wrenching idea turned into a movie. To be all alone at the end of your life with an expiration date counting down and nobody to turn to horrible. And yet he found a purpose and a reason to live, instead of dwelling on that shit he lived. AND GUESS WHAT IKIRU MEANS “TO LIVE” HOLY FUCKING SHIT. This is a brilliant piece of art and I’m so happy I watched it.
