why do i consider evil dead 2013 a five star film?
because this remake has everything you could want in a horror movie:
- brutal, but keeps a little campiness
- no cgi, only uses practical effects
- opening scene and title card go hard
- addition of the drug addiction subplot adds a great psychological element
- so much blood and so much nastiness
- fun little fake out ending
- our final girl in blood rain with a chainsaw… “feast on this, motherfucker”
- and last, but not least, “come down here so i can suck your cock pretty boy”
evil dead 2013 you are so fun and i love you so much.
i will die on this hill.
