Matilda

I grew up watching this movie, and watched it until everyone in my house was tired of it. It’s such a classic, wonderfully executed story that everyone should enjoy at some point in their lives. Matilda, from the beginning, is such a strong-willed protagonist, and her personality is so empowering to watch develop over the course of the movie, and yet it’s so depressing to think about how her trauma and neglect shaped her, making for such a compelling character. The found-family message within this movie hits hard every. Single. Time.  All in all, I loved every single character in this movie, and I hope to watch this movie 1000 times more, because why not?
