oh that ending fucked me up

i don’t even want kids but i would’ve tried harder than that why tf weren’t they watching her half the time elizabeth olsen is stunning though as per usual

i think one of my movie pet peeves is biopics that start in the middle of the person’s career and/or when the biopic isn’t in chronological order like.. what was the reason, it adds nothing to the story except confusion when it switches to a flashback scene with no explanation of it being a different year it’s clear his childhood had a huge impact on him (as shown a hundred times but that damn fire scene) and yet.. they barely touch upon it? the fire scene isn’t explained, his emigration to jamaica isn’t shown other than the text at the beginning, everything is from his adolescence onwards and mainly ignores his personal life until later on which just makes it completely lack any depth
