Sentimental Value
one of the most beautiful yet heartbreaking films I’ve ever seen in my life. I really love how it leaves things unresolved and so many emotions left unsaid. it doesn’t give any concrete answers or solutions, and that’s what makes it feel so real. this film made me realized that I haven’t fully healed from all of my childhood trauma yet… I’ve just learned how to live in a way where it doesn’t hurt the same every time I remember it.
I also found myself deeply emotional about the house, where it’s filled with many memories that shaped their family’s history. that’s why I suddenly long for my childhood home—the place I grew up in that carries both good and bad memories. even though I hate hearing the noise of my family every day, I still can’t help but miss it now.
and in the end, it just reminded me of something I always believe—life is indeed a beautiful tapestry. every moment, every loss, every memory, whether painful or happy, it’s all part of something meaningful. that’s because our lives are full of imperfections, and I think it’s so beautiful. ♡
