yeah, i’m a white man’s whore. get over it. (food sharing!!! >>>)
YES!!!!! to quote my women+lit prof. when the math class in the lecture room before us were taking too long to leave: “these fucking nerds are getting in the way of us watching clueless!!”
my intro to this movie was a 1d fanfic and, yes, it was better than the actual film — but loved the movie, anyway! i think i used an image from this where the lightning turns the sand to glass for a uni final once, so thanks.
i have a hatred for almost every character in this movie and i love that.

this also fed my architecture fixation, so i can’t watch if i have something to do because i will drop everything to draw little buildings.
i love a plot twist more than words can say. super iconic, stacked cast, plus i love la la land, so in my head this is an alternate universe (leave my chronically online brain alone).
this movie was surprisingly so hilarious. i had expected generic millennial humor (like most modern romcoms), but this really hit it out of the park for me. (also, we love to see asian queer rep!!! not in mainstream media enough, and this was very brilliant.)
the intro to this movie got me hooked. sorry, america.

i really enjoyed the book and i understand why the movie went in the direction it did. really wish they had kept june and kept alex a child of divorce, but i felt they captured the essence of the story regardless.
when i was a young buck, the only songs i was allowed to keep on the family ipod was chicken fried by zac brown band and the climb by miley cyrus. unnecessary story, but that’s the first thing i think of when i remember this movie — hours and hours of me replaying this mf song because i was deprived of being able to listen to anything other than that and my dad’s oldies cassettes.

the revolving door/quick change scene is obviously so iconic? wtf was all that cinematography for and where are your oscars, david hennings + peter chelsom??

also that butterfly song was so banger.
