Imperfect movie (I have a lot of beef with this one) but it was (probably) the best blockbuster of the year (fuck avatar no offense)
beautiful. this’ll go just like the first, every single person ever will see it, gasp at the visuals, and then instantly forget about it and it will have absolutely zero emotional impact. I liked this one better than the first tho
perfect movie, dropped down the rankings a bit because I think it’ll be forgotten 😔😔😔
this movie was perfect, but I don’t think anyone will watch it again five years from now. X & Crimes of the Future have the opposite situations, where they’re imperfect movies (to me) but will grow under society’s skin like a fucked up infection.
ok: the woman king, not okay, don’t worry darling, and fresh are all tied for me.

I feel like they’re reflective of a trend that I really enjoy, and the movies themselves are good, but their individual faults/ weak points drag them down a bit. might have stronger opinions if I did some rewatching.
PERFECT MOVIE. very forgettable. no one will look back at 2022 and think of this movie. HOWEVER, I think in 3 years this’ll be on Netflix and people will be like “omg there’s this great rom com on Netflix” and this will be that movie.
this movie was on the cusp of being really good, but there was something about it that felt really blah. this makes it the gatekeeper, on the brink of being a good movie. i would consider this a “good” movie if someone were to ask, but just barely.
