American Psycho

Well Christian Bale was great At first it seemed kind of superficial- he’s killing people because he’s psychotic and the movie is just indulging the audience’s dark fantasies.  Woah was I wrong - the social commentary is at first subtle but it becomes more obvious towards the end.  I know that the point of the final act is to be ambiguous and have the audience pick it apart, but with a movie that evidently has a strong message to deliver, I would have liked this message to have been made a bit more explicit here.  Oh and the costume design was awesome  4.5/5
