Coherence

Picked this on shuffle and went in completely blind thinking it'd be chill movie before bed. Now I can't sleep and I'm questioning reality. I hate that I understand Emily. Because I might do the same. If there’s a version of your life where everything’s right where your choices make sense, your relationships actually work, you’re happier… wouldn’t you be tempted? Wouldn’t you want to step into that life and leave all the messy, wrong, disappointing versions of yourself behind? Somewhere out there is a better version of your life. A version with better choices, better relationships, a better you. And just thinking about it makes your own life feel messy and imperfect. I don’t think I’d be strong enough to walk away if I saw it staring me in the face. I’d probably grab it without a second thought just like Em did. Now I’m just lying here, questioning reality, questioning myself, and wondering if somewhere, somehow, I’m already living the “right” life and if I’d even recognize it if I saw it.
