Ruby Sparks
I’m gonna write myself a girl who’s incredibly wealthy, hilarious, and loves hearing my opinions on Letterboxd—Yes, I know she’s not real. That’s the point.
I feel like Zoe said exactly what she wanted to say with this movie. We see Paul Dano’s character as a very real and messy person. We see Ruby as an idea.
This one was kind of a rollercoaster for me, but I think it’s very thought provoking on how we can care so much but never really see the other person.
Im glad this turned out to not be a romcom.
