Empire Records

i have to give up my one liner reviews for this movie bc i have so much to say… every character was perfection. all of them were well rounded and had depth to them. they all had their flaws and problems and i really enjoy when a movie shows you about a character and lets you put the piece together instead of straight up telling you about them.  the plot was simple but so fun. i love when a movie is over the course of a single day kinda in a ferris bullers day off & the breakfast club way. it was perfectly paced and just the right amount of craziness. i love how every character had different but fundamental relationships with other characters and the whole vibe of the movie flowed so effortlessly.  the script was able to incorporate a funny side but also shine a light on serious topics and real struggles that we all go through. it also wasn’t one of those over complicated scripts with dialogue that no real person says in real life. and the final scene of them all dancing on the roof…oh my gosh. i want it ingrained in my brain forever. such a beautiful shot.  zero complaints. just good vibes and an insanely fire soundtrack.
