the contrast between grace’s comical fight and titus’ absolutely brutal beating set to *total eclipse of the heart* is burned into my brain.  also noticed that the top of grace’s bridal headpiece has a pentagram sewn into it and it’s so damn iconic

i just wanted hot cowboy shawn hatosy and was completely bombarded by him being a sex trafficker.  DAMN, can he play one diabolical villain though

binge read the entire book in one sitting before watching this since it’s been sitting on my shelf for years and oh my god, did they do it justice. only reason it’s not 5 stars is because the book is so fresh in my mind and i’m sad about some cut stuff and how much of the incredibly detailed and interesting science is missing. although, i know it wouldn’t translate as well in movie form.  ROCKY, MY SON, I LOVE YOU

genuinely felt like shawn hatosy was slamming me into walls and kicking the shit out of me. i can’t lie, it was a blast. i did not expect titus to play such a pivotal part but i was eating every minute of his screen time up. the story went in a direction i did not expect but i was loving it.
