I personally think this is the greatest war film of all time. Really shows how war breaks people down, turning them into something unrecognizable. The first half is harsh and intense, while the second half throws that order into chaos. By the end, there’s no hero, no clear purpose—just survival and the loss of humanity. absolute perfect portrayal of the making and unmaking of a soldier
