Yi Yi
“why are we afraid of the first time, everyday in life is first time, every morning is new, we never live the same day twice, we never afraid of getting up every morning, why?”
Yi Yi isn’t driven by a clear plot or destination. It simply observes life as it unfolds — raw, quiet, and deeply ordinary.
At times I was bored, at times completely absorbed, and at others unexpectedly emotional. And honestly, that feels right. Life itself moves like this: drifting between monotony, tenderness, joy, and pain. The film doesn’t dramatize these moments, it just lets them exist. It asks you to sit with them, accept them, and keep going. Because no matter what happens — to us or around us — life moves on.
