Taintlight
i can't believe hannah woollard stopped this film before seeing the signature seaver film ska music played over fight sequence. it is rare that anyone other than twisted college students can produce such piercingly hilarious parody. low budgets force boundless creativity, (the mime bus driver, genius.) outside of society and screen-corporation, they live in a lawless land. and ofc no one is as fanatical about popular culture. taking after the advice of john waters, they love what they make fun of, and like no other. past the in-your-face crass there is a personable subtlety to the film, the individual inflections of the actors, the driving force of je ne sais quoi. this is no blockbuster business venture. this is raw human love, in all it's perversity and violence. this is a talisman of Freud's id- a tale too shitty.
