GoodFellas

What isn’t there not to love. I’ve heard this movie hyped up to me for so long and I finally got around to watching it and I was hooked from the very beginning. The opening is iconic and one of my favorites ever. The cast is absolutely stacked especially looking back I was shocked at how many incredible actors were in this film. I saved this for after my Sopranos binge and I can see so much inspiration from Goodfellas its nuts. Scorsese also takes you through a masterclass of direction and I loved the visual storytelling on display. An amazing film, I don’t like to give 5 stars on first watch but I seriously was hooked for like 95% of the runtime and this deserves it.
