Inglourious Basterds

🏆 | My Favorites | 2025 - First Watches | I just love Tarantino’s direction in all of his movies. His style is so pleasing to the eye at-least for me. I haven’t seen one of his movies in a while and this was so entertaining. The acting is always great, the dialogue he creates is always the best part of his movies, it is able to build tension so well without any fancy editing or even music, the bar scene is such a great example of this. Hans Landa is also such a despicable antagonist. He is one of my favorites and the performance by Christopher Waltz steals the show in a movie with Brad Pitt who is one of my favorite actors. I think what I love so much about his performance is that he has such a personality, he's also not menacing through physical ability, more so through power and his wits.   There are a few issues I have with the converging plots and at times with so many subtitles I look away for half a second and I feel like I missed something much, which isn’t really the movies fault, or is it idk. I enjoyed this movie so much and I would place it above the Hateful Eight and behind Reservoir Dogs most likely.
