Knives Out

Amazing 🏆| First Watches 2025 | Knives out took me on wild ride with some fun character writing, creative screenplay, and a creative direction with the set design. I honestly wasn’t going to watch this as I wanted to watch MI2 or Dial of Destiny idek how I ended up here. The opening and ending scenes ending with the mug was so cool to me and felt so good. I feel the themes at play here are very well shown to an extent. The most prominent one is how wealth is earned vs unearned and I felt that was shown very well. I equally hate the family sides while also understanding their perspective even though they were shown as assholes throughout the movie. The direction by Rian Johnson was so fun to me, from the opening scene till the ending wide shot I loved the level of creativity on display, so far his films are so consistent for me as I do enjoy the Last Jedi.  Knives out kept me hooked from what felt like the mid movie finale till the end and I kind of figured it out towards the end but it still didn’t affect my experience at all. That donut scene is also amazing and Daniel Craig was great in that scene.
