Aftersun

I had cried only once during the actual movie. After Sophie sang happy birthday to Calum. After the credits rolled and I had pieced together what just happened, my eyes were an ocean for a whole hour I have tears in my eyes just writing this review now. Realising Calum was suicidal and had depression sent me into the hardest I’ve ever cried state from a piece of media ever. On rewatch, knowing that Calum has depression from the beginning will change my perspective on this movie, picking up on little details.  I’m still crying
