Train Dreams
A simple story of a simple man with a simple life. Looks at the experience of a lumbar jack in the 1900s and his peaceful life in nature where he has to remind himself after a tragic loss. The camera angles/cinematography was very good, capturing beautiful nature shots. Deep meanings and angles variation. Some shots however were slightly over repeated. Costumes and setting was good. Acting was expressive and easy to relate to character. Explored meaning/purpose of life. Not a new idea as other films similar to this have been done, a simple life with a tradegy and the person goes through a life experience ot find their purpose. The start was was slightly to quick and so character liveability was rushed. Nice use of side characters such as the Asian lumbar jack who was killed and Arn the 'wise man'.
