Can’t believe Martín Scorsese travelled 36 years into the future, watched Joker and stole the idea for his own movie smh
I don’t think I will ever outgrow Twisted. Genuinely one of the most well-written musicals ever, surpassing both of his original materials by miles in my opinion. I’ve yet to laugh and cry as much at any musical as this one—a genuinely phenomenal piece of art. “May the rats ejaculate upon you.” - Bookshop owner

It was… pretty good. Like a lot of Chris Nolan’s other movies, this movie was technically impressive, nice to look at, made for cinema. A couple of the more whimsical parts and almost all gods (appearing as physical figures) were removed from the story for the sake of hardened seriousness, but I felt like I needed some of those more fantastical elements to contrast how dreary the story is for the most part. Definitely by FAR not a bad watch, but I felt like, despite the films extreme run-time, I needed a little more from it.
