Dune
This was my first watch of Dune and I genuinely did not expect it to hit the way it did. It was a random pick and somehow it completely surpassed every expectation I had. From the very first moments, I was locked in, afraid to look away in case I missed something important. It is the kind of film that demands your full attention and rewards you for giving it.
Everything about it works in harmony. The plot feels dense yet gripping, unfolding with patience and confidence, trusting the audience to keep up. The cast is perfectly chosen, each performance feeling grounded and purposeful, never out of place in such a vast and intimidating world. The costumes alone deserve their own praise, blending function and symbolism in a way that makes the universe feel lived in rather than imagined.
The cinematography is breathtaking. Every frame feels deliberate and immersive, making the desert feel both beautiful and terrifying.
