Superman

This movie brought back the hope I’ve looked up to ever since I was a kid that was long gone. For years, the concept of Superman was twisted and turned to write the farm boy as a sinister, evil, dictator. James Gunn undoes what has been hurting this character. He made THE superhero a hero again. Not just someone with cool fight scenes and an abundance of violence, but an icon, a symbol of peace and hope. The humor is tastefully done with the witty moments highlighting the supporting cast and their on screen banter. David Corenswet as Superman worked wonderfully with Nicholas Hoult as Superman’s arch nemesis lex Luthor. Their comic rivalry done with the opposing elements of hatred and love that people adore in Superman’s stories. Like the comics, this movie will make you fall in love with the character and give you the strive to be a better human being.
